The postponed Tokyo Olympics due to the COVID-19 pandemic will be held from July 23 to August 8 in 2021, the opening ceremony will take place on July 23, 2021. The closing ceremony of the 2020 Olympics games will take place on Sunday, August 8, in the Olympic Stadium. Tokyo is 7 hours ahead of the European time zone, 13 hours ahead of New York (Check out the full schedule here). The new dates for the Paralympic Games are August 24 to September 5, 2021.
After the 1964 edition, which ensured the growth of the country’s economy and favored the transformation and opening up of Japan to the outside world, Tokyo will host for the second time the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games “from 24 July to August 09, 2020 ”which will be the most innovative edition in the history of the Games thanks to the infrastructure and high technology integrated into the competition sites.
The fundamental requirements for a sport to be Olympic are as follows: it must have a men’s federation in at least 75 countries on four continents and a women’s federation in 40 countries on three continents. Summer Olympic Games 2020 will feature 33 different Games, and 34 new events in total (All Games).

From July 24 to August 9, 2021, eyes and hearts will travel to Tokyo, which will host the Games of the XXXII Olympiad, an edition characterized by innovation, technology and new disciplines. The 2020 Summer Games are already called “The Green Games”
Five new sports have been added to the 2020 Olympics: karate (August 5-7), baseball/softball, sport climbing (August 3-6), skateboarding (July 25/26, August 4/5) and surfing (Schedule: July 26-29). The last three sports mentioned can all be classified as extreme sports.
Squash, roller sports, martial art, and the bowling wushu were all proposed as sports for 2020 Summer Olympics, but none were chosen.
